Report

100 Days of Building Power and Solidarity

This report highlights the needs of organizations supporting Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, South Asian, and Black communities in the United States as the genocide in Gaza surpasses 100 days in January 2024. It synthesizes conversations about immediate and long-term infrastructure and solidarity needs. Since October 2023, weekly rapid response calls hosted by Muslims for Just Futures and Building Movement Project have facilitated collaboration among these communities, producing shared strategies and resources. This report aims to document the needs identified, address the backlash these communities face, and amplify recommendations for building resilience and solidarity.

A Call to Social Justice Movements:

Build Collective Safety and Fight the Carceral State

Over 100 grassroots and advocacy organizations urge social justice movements to reject the state’s weaponization of hate violence, antisemitism, and Islamophobia to expand criminalization and hate crime laws. Instead, they advocate for abolitionist strategies to build true community safety and confront state-sanctioned violence against Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim communities.
