Khudai Tanveer serves as the Director of Operations at Muslims for Just Futures (MJF), where they have been a key figure since its founding. They manage the development of the organization’s infrastructure, strategic direction and support national advocacy efforts. Khudai deeply believes that for movements to grow, it is essential to scale the infrastructure and take care of the individuals working within these movements, ensuring that we are a movement, not just a moment. Their work at MJF is driven by the belief that "my liberation is tied to your liberation," reflecting a deep dedication to collective empowerment and transformative change.

Khudai Tanveer is a visionary leader and dedicated abolitionist who has seamlessly navigated the realms of grassroots organizing, corporate DEI, and academic excellence. Born in Pakistan and raised in Richmond, VA, Khudai's multifaceted identity has profoundly shaped their commitment to justice and liberation.

Khudai's journey began as a grassroots political organizer, where they mobilized marginalized communities and championed intersectional public policies. Their impactful work with the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA). At NQAPIA, Khudai worked to build the organizational capacity of local LGBTQ+ AAPI groups, enhance grassroots organizing, expand collaborations with allied organizations, and fight for justice by challenging underlying causes that adversely impact our communities.

In the corporate and academic sectors, Khudai excelled as an IDEA Content & Research Manager at Cook Ross, where they developed and implemented learning programs, and later at Johns Hopkins University as a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Program Manager, where they enhanced recruitment and retention strategies for historically underrepresented and underserved minority populations.

Beyond their professional endeavors, Khudai expresses their passion for social justice through cooking, using their weekly food pop-up, Desi Dish, as a form of rebellion and self-expression. Recognized as a 2019 Advocate.com Champion of Pride for Virginia, Khudai continues to inspire others by sharing their story and advocating for a more inclusive world.
