TPS for Pakistan

After the devastating 2022 floods in Pakistan, which placed over a third of the country underwater and displaced millions, Desis Rising Up and Moving (DRUM) began a campaign to support undocumented Pakistanis, many of whom effectively became climate refugees. MJF is supporting this national campaign here in the DC-MD-VA area. Temporary Protected Status is an immigration status given to certain countries that experience major war/conflict or experience climate disaster and gives nationals of that country work permits and the ability to support themselves and families back home, and protection from deportation. This work continues to be urgent as impacts of the floods continue, compounded by political instability. To join the our TPS for Pakistan working group, sign up as an MJF member today!
